چکیده
The aim of study is to document our experience and intra-articular findings at time routine ankle arthroscopy during open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) contribute the growing body literature that shows this be a safe effective treatment. This retrospective review fractures who were treated with ORIF by single surgeon. patients’ charts including operative reports, office notes, images reviewed identify pathology fracture type. Analysis was performed regard type, presence location osteochondral lesions, loose-body, syndesmotic injury, deltoid injury. Fifty-seven identified met inclusion criteria. 84.2% had pathology, most commonly injury followed loose joint defect. Orthopedic surgeons any arthroscopic prowess should consider evaluation ORIF, particularly pronation external rotation supination patterns. benefits include more detailed examination associated injuries possible treatment arthroscopy. compliment for fractures.

Syndesmotic Malreduction after Ankle ORIF; Is Radiography Sufficient?
Background: Ankle fractures, especially those resulting from external rotation mechanisms are associated with injury to the distal tibiofibular syndesmosis. Some authors have recommended performing CT scanning after open ankle surgery to evaluate the reduction of syndesmosis. In this current study, we aimed to investigate the sensitivity of plain radiography in diagnosing syndesmosis malreduc...

متن کاملArthroscopic findings in acute fractures of the ankle.
We have evaluated prospectively the arthroscopic findings in acute fractures of the ankle in 288 consecutive patients (148 men and 140 women) with a mean age of 45.6 years. According to the AO-Danis-Weber classification there were 14 type-A fractures, 198 type B and 76 type C. Lesions of the cartilage were found in 228 ankles (79.2%), more often on the talus (69.4%) than on the distal tibia (45...
متن کاملArthroscopic ankle arthrodesis.
We performed arthrodesis of the ankle in eight patients by arthroscopic joint excision and fixation with crossed tibiotalar compression screws. Two patients had rheumatoid arthritis and six had post-traumatic osteoarthritis. None had a serious deformity of the ankle. Clinical ankylosis was achieved in all cases and there was radiological evidence of bone fusion in four.
